SUPREME COURT OF NIGERIA FACES ACID TEST
The Supreme #Court of Nigeria is known to be the apex court in the land and as such the last arbiter. Justice dispensed from that honorable bench should be almost near perfection without any perceivable error, prejudice or absolute subversion. This would serve as deterrent and caution not only to the lower courts who may have delivered wrong judgements but to the culprit in any instituted litigation. The attention of the Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria is hereby drawn to one of the greatest test of their life as Justices as the whole world watches with keen interest every single step they take in handling the case between Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress (APC) Atiku Abubakar and Muhammadu Buhari respectively. The case should be treated and handled without any iota of compromise. It is their constituted obligation to the people of Nigeria to ensure that justice is served in that case. They should never allow themselves to be hoodwinked into perverting justice but rather ensure that the true and rightful winner is declared while perpetrator(s) of any abnormally in that election is brought to book and punished accordingly.
It is a known fact to all that the Judicial system in Nigeria has been bastardised hence biased and corrupt especially the Court of Appeal. Therefore, it is time for the Supreme Court and in fact entire Nigeria Judicial system to wake up from their slumber and fight for the right of the innocent citizens whom they are meant to serve. The injustice being dispensed in the lower courts especially the Appeal Court and some others are absolutely unimaginable. Therefore, the Supreme Court must never be compromised or biased. It is absolutely expected of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court to sit up and deliver the right judgement in all cases before them especially the presidential election petition between Atiku Abubakar and Mohammadu Buhari.
It is an established fact that Nigerians are gradually losing faith and confidence in the Judiciary. If the common man looses faith in them as a result of blatant bribery and corruption, then their existence will be of no value and worth to the people. Therefore, Nigerians and all men of good will are calling on them to ensure that true justice prevails in that case as the hope of the citizens will be restored if the right judgement is delivered.
